Emily Terrana

she/her

Emily has worked for over a decade at local and state-wide organizations working towards housing, environmental, racial and reproductive justice, including the ACLU of NY, PUSH Buffalo and Clean Air Coalition of WNY. Emily has been a member of local, national and international political education and organizing teams, including with People’s Action, Catalyst Project’s Anne Braden Program, Political Healers Project and GLC Change Makers. 

She believes deeply in a rigorous, disciplined and care centered organizing practice that builds community power to live in a just, dignified and joyful world we all deserve. Emily should have been a teacher and brings her passion and skills of popular and political education to her role as a worker-owner of Rose Jade Consulting. 

Emily holds a degree in Women and Gender Studies from Buffalo State College and has been published in Selves, Symbols, and Sexualities: An Interactionist Anthology. 

Emily is a Buffalo girl through and through, growing up in the working-class neighborhood of Riverside with her extended family and community. She lives in Riverside with her three children, Yael, Oliver and Muna, partner Jason, their three cats and pups.

Harper Bishop

He/they

Harper Bishop is a Worker-Owner at Rose Jade Consulting Cooperative. He brings over 15 years of experience in the realms of economic development, nonprofit management, and community organizing. He has advocated for progressive policies at the local, state, and federal levels, as well as been a political analyst for several organizations and media publications.

Harper has trained hundreds (if not thousands) of grassroots leaders in racial, economic, and social justice issues over the years. Most recently, he has also been the Executive Director of Our City Action Buffalo, which is part of an ever-growing movement to disrupt the political status quo through people-centered politics and co-governance structures in Buffalo, New York. Harper has also been a Common Future Local Economy Fellow, and has been given several recognitions for their work in the LGBTQ+ community.

They live on Buffalo's West Side with their partner and two children. Go Bills.

Nicolalita Rodriguez de Melgar, LMSW, CHW

She/ella

Nicolalita Rodriguez de Melgar (She/ella) is the Director and Founder of Little People's Victory, Co-founder of Liberated Wellness Center and a Worker-Owner at Rose Jade Consulting.

Nicolalita proudly wears many hats, including being a Licensed Masters Social Worker, Community Health Worker and Trainer (Promotora de Salud), Decolonial Trauma Therapist, Consultant, Intuitive and Dance Educator. She has worked in numerous non-profit organizations in the human services and mental health field, primarily within school and community settings and specializes in helping individuals and organizations in navigating their way through conflict, change, oppression, trauma and abuse on personal, interpersonal and institutional levels.

She is a life-long dancer and integrates dance, movement, play and joy and love into all she does.
